After almost a decade working in the solar industry, one thing became abundantly clear to me – many people, whether they be homeowners, business owners, architects, building contractors or municipalities, could benefit from independent, objective advice about solar PV implementation. The decision-making process isn’t always straightforward or self-explanatory, comparing proposals from multiple installation companies doesn’t always seem “apples to apples” and misconceptions about the technology and capability of solar continue to exist.
In my work with a multi-state solar design and installation company, I had direct hands-on involvement in residential and commercial sales, project management, permitting, assisting with solar incentives, federal grant applications, project design, system production modeling, pre-construction design planning and long-term green energy project planning for municipalities and electrical utilities.
Prior to my time in the solar industry, I spent well over a decade in education (as both a teacher and administrator), and I strongly believe in bringing an educational ethos to my current consulting work. It’s important to me that my clients truly understand what they are considering investing in – how best to identify their needs and goals, what solar can do for them, and what possible limitations may exist.
If you’re looking for an honest assessment and guidance from someone who isn’t trying to sell you anything beyond that, I believe Penumbra can help you.
